Matthew J. Malleis

Matt is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he attended Catholic schools for the entirety of his youth. One of nine siblings, Matt put himself through Aquinas College on a tennis scholarship, and by tending bar. When he got to law school, he was even busier, writing for the law review and still tending bar. He graduated with honors from The University of Detroit Law School, and has been practicing law since 1996. At first, Matt defended insurance companies for some of Michigan’s finest law firms. According to Matt, he woke up one day, put on his tie, and realized that the people he really wanted to work for were people like himself. Since then, he has tirelessly represented the little guy in cases worth hundreds of dollars, to cases worth millions of dollars. In what little time he has to himself, Matt enjoys fishing and traveling back to the cold, frozen north country of Michigan to visit family.
